I just heard some great news! The 2008 National New Church Conference that's taking place in Orlando, FL from April 21-24, 2008 is having a separate track just for church planting spouses. I am so excited and want to urge you to attend. Leave the kids with a sitter and get away with your husband. You won't regret it!
As I've said before, church planting wives are often ignored as a group. Not so at this conference! There are going to be 7 one-hour sessions just for you!
I'm leading a session on marriage and parenting and I need your help. I want to find out what you want to hear from me. What topics within marriage and parenting are of interest to you? Where do you struggle? What advice or help do you need? I appreciate any comments you leave.
Try your hardest to be there! Pray about the logistics, money, etc. I will start praying that God makes it possible for you to attend. It's going to be awesome!

Jennifer I am so excited about the National New Church Conference. My husband and I are definately going!!! I can not wait to hear you speak. I am trying to think about where I would like insight from you...one thing that came to mind was how to have "real friends". I have been in situations where people want to be my friend just to know my struggles to then pass them around to everyone, or try to find out "news" within the ministry. How do you find someone you can really trust, and have accountability?
Then on the topic of marriage...hmm....How to set appropriate boundaries, how to serve my husband better, fun/creative things to do when you have a date night (just the 2 of you). Well those were the ones that just came to mind. I am not sure if they even helped. I know the Spirit will direct you about the most perfect topic that we need to hear! Thanks for being willing to share with us at the conference. I am looking forward to this time together.

How exciting! My husband attended this conference last year and I will definately be going this year. Luckily, we are only three hours away.
My marital question is how do you handle the times when you see your husband doing/saying something in the ministry you don't necessarily approve of... times when you see him responding with a sleep depraved mind, etc. I certainly don't want to tell him how to run the church and come across a bossy know-it-all but often times I sit back and wonder, "what in the world were you thinking?" Hope that makes sense...
