We are almost Las Vegas home owners! We put a contract on two houses and had to choose between them both. We picked one in Southern Highlands and I love it! We are closing on November 26th.
Here's the exhausting part: We are closing on our VA Beach house on Halloween and then renting back to the owners until November 20th. On November 17th a PODS truck will drop off a box for us to pack all our stuff into. They will pick it up on November 20th and drive it to Las Vegas and then store it for 2 months for us. We are moving into a friend's house on November 20th until December 20th, then we're going to Buffalo for the holidays. We get back to VA Beach on January 4th and then are staying until the 12th. Then we drive 38 hours to Las Vegas (with our tightly-wound dog I might add) in the middle of the winter! Good times!!!!!
Vince keeps begging me to start packing. I'm procrastinating. The task seems too daunting. And maybe a little depressing, to be honest. Just figuring out what I need to keep with me is exhausting enough, let alone figuring out Christmas shopping and how all of this is going to fit in our minivan. Then there's the whole "leaving my friends and family to go to the other side of the country thing."
It's a good thing I feel completely and totally convinced that God wants us to do this!
