The countdown has begun! 5 more days until we pull out of Virginia and make the 38 hour drive to Vegas. All of our stuff is there in storage. Vince's car is being shipped ahead of us. We're ready to go...kind of.
I've been staying in Fredericksburg, VA this week babysitting my friend's kids so she and her husband could go out of town. I head back to Virginia Beach tomorrow morning. To be honest, I'm kind of dreading it. Emotionally, this is going to be a really difficult couple days.
For the past few weeks I've been able to ignore the fact that I'm leaving because we've been out of town. Now I've got to face my reality. Bummer!
Saying goodbye is gut wrenching. I have made so many sweet friendships over the years. I literally can't imagine my life without these people in it. I read a Beth Moore quote the other day. She said, "Whatever God is urging you to clear away cannot begin to be compared to what He ultimately wants to bring you." Can I just say that I love God and His timing!
I know without a doubt that God has called us to move to Vegas. I'm trusting that the road ahead will be even better than I could ever imagine. I value the friendships I have in Virginia Beach. And I trust that God will bring me new ones in Vegas.
